Syfy in the USA is moving their traditional scripted original shows from Friday nights to Tuesday nights, so come October Sanctuary will be on Tuesdays! Why are they being moved? Friday Night Smackdown has been acquired by Syfy and that will air on Friday instead. In my opinion it remains to be seen whether the niche "SciFriday" programmes will survive on Tuesdays. Whilst Syfy does tout the success of Warehouse 13 and Eureka on that night, those shows aired in the less contested summer period. Hello everyone and welcome back to the Sanctuary Spoiler Zone, we're already into the second month of 2010 and we finally have some concrete news of work commencing on Season 3. Over the next few weeks I'll be reorganising the website to make way for Season 3 spoilers Damian and the crew at Sanctuary are at work on Season 3, a longer 20 episode Season 3 - hurray!!!! Damian just posted this to Twitter : Breaking stories for #sanctuary season 3 premiere. Opener will blow your mind. And our wallets. The Industry Gala Awards part of the Gemini Awards were held Tuesday night and Sanctuary won the Best Visual Effects category. Lee Wilson, Caleb Ashmore, Matthew Belbin, Sebastien Bergeron, Ken Lee, Lionel Lim, Mladen Miholjcic, Les Quinn, Lisa Sepp-Wilson, Philippe Thibault of Anthem Visual Effects won the Gemini Award for the episode Sanctuary For All Part 1. They were also nominated for a second episode, The Five, in the same category. Christopher Heyerdahl unfortunately didn't win in his category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Series. The rest of the awards will be announced at a gala event on November 14 where Amanda Tapping, Robin Dunne and Steven Adelson have been nominated for awards. Season 2 Photos 09/27/2009

The UK Season 2 Premiere date is Oct 12 ITV4 has begun to send out emails to folks that had enquired about the UK airing date for Sanctuary Season 2 and October 12 is the date!
