Canada's Innerspace post show discussion of Out Of The Blue contained a few spoilers and a peek at the finale episode, Into The Black.
Excerpts :
Teddy: And when we spoke with Robin Dunne and Damian Kindler they did give us a tiny glimpse of what we can expect next week
S~s~S~s~S
Robin: The season finale Into The Black is yet again one of those classic Sanctuary episodes and what you've been seeing, things that have been happening all through Season 3, the little ripples in the pond that have been occuring over the entire season really turn into a big wave. Just a metaphor not the literal wave that we've seen this year.
S~s~S~s~S
Damian : The finale written by Alan McCullough which I directed really sets up a kind of a very dark situation with Hollow Earth kind of being compromised and Earth kind of getting invaded a little bit.
S~s~S~s~S
Robin: That's just one of those classic Sanctuary season finale episodes that you're just going to have to watch and see where the team ends up.

Tapping is on the telephone to discuss the final two episodes of Season 3, "Into the Blue" and "Out of the Black," which will air on June 10 and June 17, respectively.
"Once again 'Sanctuary' paints itself into what seems to be an impossible corner to get out of," Tapping said, laughing softly. "When we got the pickup for Season 4, we were like, 'Aha, how are we going to get out of this one?' At the end of Season 2, a tidal wave was heading toward Earth, and, at the end of Season 3, we have no idea where we are or what will happen.
"Our story line about Hollow Earth plays very big.
"There's a huge insurgence that happens, which the Sanctuary team has to deal with. The government has become more involved than we've ever wanted them to be, and Magnus finds herself in the most ridiculous and unexpected place.
"So the start of our fourth season has all been about, 'How do we quell this uprising, and how do we get Magnus back?' " Tapping said. "I think the only way you can creatively continue is to scare the crap out of yourself and try to do something that everyone says is impossible. That's how we've always rolled."

PCZ: Well good! One of the big things you set up in season three was the Hollow Earth, and everything that that involved. That paid off quite a bit in the mid-season, and I’m just wondering, since it’s been mentioned a few times; are we going to see that more leading up into the season finale?
AT: Yeah, you see some of the big culmination of that story line at the end of season three, and that’s what launches us into season four as well. So, it’s hard to go to somewhere like Hollow Earth and not have it pay off multiple times. We do actually try to wrap the story up in season four, but it’s Hollow Earth! So, not going anywhere.

Excerpts from podcast -
Amanda: exactly. Yeah! It makes sense. But again it all ties into this Hollow Earth story line and then our cliffhanger is huge! But it's sort of the worst case scenario, it's like "what happens if... Oh no! It's happening!" and I'll just dot dot dot on the end because you'll have to see it [laughs]

Amanda: When I read the ending of episode 3-20 I was like "No way! That's so cool!" then what? How do we get out of that?

Having written the season three opener, McCullough was thrilled with the opportunity to bookend his contribution to Sanctuary‘s third year by penning the season finale, Into the Black. “This was another episode where we had to end the year strong but we didn’t have a lot of money,” he says. “We’d spent a fair bit on Normandyand Carentan, both big stories, which will be apparent when you see them. I mean, we built a French street for Normandyon the backlot of our studio just like we did with Mumbai, and it cost a fair bit.
“So when it came time for the finale we needed a strong episode that was going pay off events from the mid-season two-parter. This story is sort of Sanctuary’s take on [the movie] District 9, where we have to contain a group of Abnormals, and Magnus finds herself in a jurisdictional battle with the UN and this private security firm a la Blackwater that wants to seize control of the Abnormals and take over the project from the Sanctuary.
“Once again, there are some great performances in this episode, including some fantastic scenes between Druitt and Magnus, and we also learn that a character we thought was dead is, in fact, alive. The last thing I’ll tell you is that the finale’s cliffhanger is one of the greatest that I’ve been involved with in my career as a Sci-Fi writer,” enthuses McCullough. “I had originally written a much more expensive script that, again, we just didn’t have the money to produce, but Martin Wood came up with some extremely smart producing adjustments that really helped out and enabled us to make this episode.”
